Such a beautifully written book. If I had read this like 2 years ago, I would have collapsed and died LOL five stars
I mean... obviously a masterpiece. There is such a depth to Morrison's writing that can be savored forever. Like, when I think of Morrison's work, I think of depths that never end. Such strong imagery throughout this book. I love an author whose mind works in such brilliant ways that I know mine never will, lol. One of the greatest novels ever written.
Last film I watched at Sidewalk. This topic really interests me, so I'm surprised I knew pretty much nothing about Elaine Pagels. I think the documentary was well-made, and Pagels has lived such an interesting life. Bought The Gnostic Gospels the other day and hope to read it soon!
Watched in the Alabama Theater with a live organ performance!! So so so cool. I'd seen this movie in high school, but it was great to watch it again (and in such a special way) YAY! Also deeply love Buster Keaton like who doesn't
First full-length watch at the Sidewalk Film Festival!! This was really fun and had me itching like crazy to go to a live show. I love music.
Anthony Bourdain is one of the loves of my life, so I was going to be more critical here than with a normal biopic. I liked this just fine, but it didn't make any sort of impact on me. Performances were fine, and I really liked Antonio Banderas in this.
